#5 – MD Meetings – Medical Specialist

A Conversational Consultation

From:  William J Owens Jr DC DAAMLP

I have talked extensively about the “Objectification of Mechanical Spine Pain”, Chiropractors call it the Vertebral Subluxation Complex and it has been hotly debated for decades…perhaps for over a century.  Our profession also debates this mechanical lesion internally, however we don’t put nearly as much effort into PROVING it as we do ARGUING AGAINST IT.  In much of my work as a clinician and in the medical school I discuss the concept of an overlooked and historically poorly identified mechanical lesion.  The medics call it “non-specific”.  This is an important paper recently published and this shows you WHERE the conversation in neurosurgery is headed.  These surgeons are talking about this concept and if you START that conversation with the surgeons you know, you will be AMAZED at the response.  Now is the time to educate yourself so that you can engage and TEACH at a higher level.  They are looking for us…

This is an NIH Paper, I can share this with you.
